Blast from the Past: Sam Talbot Shacks Up

Fear not, possums, mesdames, and mesdemoiselles. It's not quite what you think. Instead, as our pals at Eater found out, Sammy has been bragging because--get this--he finally got a job. He has, as Eater puts it, "signed on to run the restaurant at Jamie Mullholland's new surf shack in Montauk, Surf Lodge." So for those of you longing for Long Island or for watermelon with blue cheese, head on out starting Memorial Day.

Nice, cooking at the shack. And Ilan cooking out of a truck. Karma is sweet.

Strange how when he tried something experimental like watermelon and blue cheese he gets smacked for it. When Richard or Marcel or Hung tried something that didn't work, they just get a shrug. (Remember Marcel's salad dressing balls or Hung's cucumber canape.) Maybe watermelon and blue cheese did stink, but it sounds no less nasty than chocolate guacamole for dessert.

granted a "surf shack:" (whatever that is) isn't Le Cirque but why does he always looked so pissed off?

Hughman...
That's not pissed off, it's brooding and it's because the chicks dig it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yes brave anonymous, I'm a loser. At least I can handle it. Sam, not so much.
