We're shocked, possums, shocked.
We had always thought Tom Colicchio a man of his word, but, much to our chagrin and disillusionment (sniff sniff), it seems that is not the case.
At the end of last night's episode, Colicchio, in reassuring Mark Simmons that he did not dislike the deadpan New Zealander, promised, "I'm sure we'll catch up after this and share a beer. Or a pint, as you guys say."
However, as Mark told our pals at Grub Street, thus far, nothing:
So you don’t feel like you were wronged in any way.
No, I don’t think I was wronged at all there. The only thing I feel wronged is Tom said he was going to buy me a beer after the chopping block. I’m still waiting for my invite.
For shame, we say, for shame. The chap just got married, Tom; the least you can do is buy him a lousy beer.

i'm sure a quick meet-up at the Dugout in NYC would get lots of beers for both of them.
I hope he isn't serious?! Faulting Tom about a beer? I bet he has better things to do than satisfy some promise he made on TV to cover his ass about whether he liked Mark or not...He was just being nice...
Complain about it if you will, if it doesn't happen within 5 years rather than 5 months post-production!
See you can't trust a guy with a soul patch! My hunch tells me Chef Tom does not spend too much time with ex-chefs. I am sure Chef Tom liked Mark WAY more than he liked Ryan.
I've read somewhere that Tom assumed a kind of mentorship position for Harold when he won Top Chef one, and that they still see each other occasionally
Chef Tom doesn't return MY calls either...
He's SUCH a tease.
DD, at least you didn't get hit with a restraining order.
