Sometimes, possums, any comments would be de trop.
From Grub Street's interview with Tom Colicchio and his wife:
Does a faux-hawk make you a better chef?
I don’t think it’s like a Samson thing, where your faux-hawk gives you strength. In fact, I don't think anyone who’s had a faux-hawk has won.
What about Hung?
I would not classify that as a faux-hawk.
So do shaved heads make you a better chef?
That’s just great. Men with shaved heads are always better. Just ask my wife. [To wife Lori Silverbush] Aren’t shaved heads great?
Silverbush: Much easier on the thighs.
Colicchio: [blushing and laughing hysterically] That was off the record!
Uh, uh, we wouldn't even know where to start. That, of course, didn't stop Miss XaXa: "So wait, what's the soul patch for?"

What about this? *In fact, I don't think anyone who’s had a faux-hawk has won.* Um, Richard is still on the show, right?
Much easier on the thighs!
Oh. My. God. I can, officially, never look at Tom at Judges' Table anymore.
well if Richard wins, we know it wasn't because he was easier on anyone's thighs.
...in the same way.
Sorry, I was so distracted by the thought of Tom the cunninglinquist (ahem) that I forgot to finish my thought.
oh dorothy... i'm sure knows a good woman's taco when he sees one that you wouldn't have to worry. :)
i didn't think it was possible to love tom more, but...i think i do.
Well...sounds like he keeps his wife happy!
Well, no wonder Padma always refers to him as "head judge" Tom Colicchio. But Joyce, you have an interesting point. Is this a spoiler? Does it mean Stephanie has won?
I think a soul patch is what is called a "flavor saver."
Maybe Lisa wins because Richard did one play on sweetmeats too many. Since the result looked too much like Tom's head, Padma fainted from pent up desire and Gail was reduced to playing with her fun bags, leaving guest judge The Orkin Man voting for Lisa and her biologically unique colony of head lice.
I guess they don't call her Lauri Silverbush for nothing...
It's true, sadly, it's true! Stephanie out-dikes Lisa's gloomy ass by going a smidge shorter on her do, thus giving her an unspoken advantage over Richard, who would have given it to her anyway on behalf of her bazooms.
Let's face it, Harold - buzzed, Ilan - fabulously tidy in comparison to Waah-I-Got-A-Rugburn-Marcel, and well Hung is just . . . umm hung
btw, i would probably go skin-bald for a chance to lurk in Lori's Silverbush. she is quite the dime

"I guess they don't call her Lauri Silverbush for nothing..." Does that mean that what Tom does could be referred to as 'Polishing the Silverbush.'?
See I knew there were many reasons to love Chef Tom.
