Yeah, they're sorry all right. Sorry they got caught on camera.

HOSEA: "Last night, I flirted with Leah just a little too much."

Flirted? Is that what they call it in 2009?

Back when I was dating, sticking your tongue down a girl's throat was calleed......"Sticking Your Tongue Down a Girl's Throat."

"Yeah, they're sorry all right. Sorry they got caught on camera."

Gotta agree with this. Also, note that they only felt sorry after kissing and not for all the previous episodes worth of flirting.

Also, if Hosea uses "flirting" for getting to first base, then I'd hate to know what other euphemisms he uses.

According to the Bible, Hosea marries the whore Gomer and Leah is foisted on her husband Jacob by deceit. Clearly Hosea and Leah are not meant for each other and should stop chewing the same piece of gum at the same time. Praise Him!

Alright - enough of punishing them for their sins.

The only difference is our sins are not on camera.

BUT - Hosea and Leah have to answer for being jerks in show in terms of cooking and teamwork, and they were complete jerks to Ariane.

I feel for their partners back home.. its one thing hearing that your BF/GF cheated on you, its another having it air on national TV!

It turns out that Stefan was right.

Funny though, Stefan said he said that after several scotch and waters.

In Vino Veritas.

I think Stefan has ESP - Extra-Stefan Perception, he could tell back then that Hosea was a douche (but didnt he make that same comment about himself when he had the argument with Jamie?)

From The Dish, here's Hosea's "apology"

First things first: None of us signed any contracts forbidding contact with the other cheftestants. We did not break any rules.

Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to offer my apologies to anyone who was offended or upset by my actions.

It is impossible to explain what life is like under these circumstances to anyone who has not experienced it. It may have been the pressure, the stress, or just the surreal-ness of living in a bubble for six weeks, but sometimes you don't act like yourself.

I am an honest, caring, and good person. My dearest friends and family know me for who I am. The public knows me as someone who cheats on his girlfriend. I'll have to live with that. I just hope that anyone out there who is easy to point the finger looks deeply inside themselves and can honestly say they haven't ever wronged someone. Or done something that they're ashamed of. Cast the first stone. Do I regret it? You bet. Did it throw off my game? Of course. Have I thought about it every day since? Yes. What can I do? Nothing.

When I returned home, I told my girlfriend - one of the sweetest women on earth - what happened. She was willing to forgive me. Our relationship was never the same. We are no longer together. So I have to live with my mistakes and try and grow as a person from it.

I am still very happy that I participated in Top Chef. It was an amazing experience that taught me a lot. I hope that it is my food and not my actions that are remembered once the show is over. I came to New York to cook. I made some great dishes and made some wonderful friends. At the end of the day, it is still all about the food.

I feel for the guy.. he's paying a hefty price for a few moments/days/hours of bad judgement.
We are all quick to judge him and Leah , but all of us have at some point done something we arent proud of and hoped we'd be given a second chance. I hope the show's fans can give Hosea a break now.

Previous Anon., the thing is that it wasn't just the one-time thing of kissing and cuddling. They've been flirting pretty much the entire season and brushing it off in interviews as "Oh, but we aren't letting it get too far; we both got other people at home." Which, I must say, I don't think their SOs would see it in quite that light.

We've all made mistakes and we've all developed attractions to people we shouldn't have, but you know what, if you're in a relationship to someone you care about and you've developed a strong attraction to another person, you shouldn't be going along playing with both of them. Either realize you care about your SO and find a way to contain your attraction to this other person or realize that you want to be with this new person instead and break it off with your SO. Going on and on like this and humiliating your SO in front of tons of people watching is a shitty thing to do.

totally shitty thing to do...I'm sure that's why Hoser's girl eventually dumped him...

8:26 PM Anon - yes, I agree with your comments . Both H&L should have thought about their SO and what impact this would have on their lives. Both H&L acted in a selfish manner , once which I personally disapprove of.
I believe that each of us know ourselves well enough not to place ourselves in compromising situations. Sadly for all parties involved, the price is heavy. I just hope they all learnt their lessons. Come to think of it, anyone on a reality show should know that when the show is over and public quickly move on, you and your SO or your family and friends are going to (hopefully) be there.. some of these reality stars seem to forget that they'll have to deal with the aftermath too.

If most people, as represented here, disapprove of infidelity, why do most people end up being unfaithful? It's such a hurtful thing.

Perhaps one of the most common reasons behind infidelity is the need for appreciation - Cheating is rarely about pure sexual attraction, as many experts explain. Another common reason for infidelity is revenge and finally, reason behind infidelity is self-destruction. Some people have such low self-esteem that when something good happens to them (such as meeting and dating a great man or woman), they think they don't deserve that person. In response to such feelings, these people may go out of their way to self-destruct their relationships.
I'm no expert but 'bubble' or not (Hosea's words) if I were on National TV , I'd make darn sure that if this were to happen, it would be done in a discreet manner - or best choice, avoid temptation and these horrible consequences which obviously followed as Hosea and his GF broke up.
