Amuse-Biatch Beaver Boots Were Made for Road Trips

We asked her where she was going, possums, but Shinsei anything.

And next thing we knew, Miss XaXa, while shoe-shopping at Dallas’ own Needless Mark-up, and accompanied by The Big Shamu, dropped in on cheftestant Casey Thompson.

And we have to confess, possums, that we are pretty miffed. Why? Well, because, for once, we don’t have a single bitchy thing to say. Just imagine how that feels.

Casey—whose beaver boots of late have clearly been made for kicking ass, what with her winning two Elimination Challenges in a row—was gracious, charming, a good sport, and displayed a levelheaded sense of humor about the snarky things we’ve occasionally been known to say.

And speaking of levelheaded, her highlights were looking quite good. Damn! Foiled again.

And she reads our blog. Oh, and she has a French grandmother. Merde!

We…feel…neutralized

Neat! That must have been fun. Did she explain Beaver Boots?

Will we get to hear about Shinsei's food?

Although she fumbled a few times, I've always liked Casey. And she's seems unstoppable now. Good for her. Also, having a French grandmother earns one extra points.

im just a bit bummed that shes been deemed the "chosen one" by the producers to win the thing this time. Am i the only one sensing a finale featuring Hung and Casey head to head, in which Casey wins under very questionable circumstances, but is ultimately accepted because theyve spent the season doing their best to make people absolutely hate Hung. She seems like a very good chef, but i think there have been far more deserving women this season who deserve the title of the first female top chef.

Casey's awesome, but it's clear Hung is the front-runner. Why do you think otherwise? It kind of sounds like you are preparing excuses in case your favorite loses.

No its not that at all. It just seems to me that the way theyve been framing it a bit this season is that theres going to be a female winner this season, and with the incredibly positive way shes being portrayed in these episodes, in contrast to Hung whose every mistake is completely highlighted. Dont get me wrong, Hungs cool and all, but my main problem with Casey is that she was chosen over Lia after making that Coffee molasses mole which still gives me nightmares. I just really think that given the chance Lia would have done quite well.

"i think there have been far more deserving women this season"

name one.

Casey has been the most talented female on the show this season from day one.

I personally thought Sara N. should have been dumped in that episode. She made ceviche and guacamole. Casey and Lia both tried something unique and it bit them in the end. Casey seems to have hit her stride, and I hope she does well. I struggle with Hung's overwhelming arrogance.

Also bummed that Tre's gone, i really think that if the judging on this show was at all logical it would have ended up with Hung and Tre battling it out at the end.

Lia and maybe even Sandee were she given the chance to stick around. i thought joey should have gone home the barbecue episode for basically cooking up some drumsticks on the grill. at least sandee was a bit innovative.
I actually agree with you on the Sara N. Ceviche thing, she made some guacomole and chips and called it a meal.

I adored Tre's personality, but he made some really crappy dishes. I went on a roller-coaster ride with him, high dish one week and bad the next. He didn't have the consistency to make it to the finale.

And three bad dishes in one episode? he didn't leave the judges a choice.

I agree that they're portraying Casey as the Hero this season now.

At first it seemed like Bravo just didn't know how to edit the show - nobody was really charismatic enough with the loss of Tre, but now they're back in their two-step, weaving their editing magic to set-up the final showdown between Hung and Casey -

Hung, the Cold Classical Perfectionist vs Casey, the New-Age Hopeful with a Heart of Gold.

It's a pity that you cannot wear designer boots for Road trips:(
