Dale Levitski Wuz Robbed!!!

Now, possums, don't get us wrong. We like Casey Thompson a lot. She really did kick ass toward the end of the season, and of all the cheftestants she demonstrated the best sense of humor, the most graciousness and the most poise with regard to bloggers, so we're definitely converts. But we were rooting for our boy Dale. We campaigned for Carlos last season and Dale this season, so maybe it is we, and not Casey, who should be called Typhoid Mary.

Anyway, congratulations, Casey, and sorry, Big Gay Chef Dale.

Laaaaaaaaaaaammmeee. Dale deserved and needed that money. I was neutral about Casey until her awful interview on Chow. Spends the last half of the season going on and on about how shes a force to be reckoned with and how shes the one to beat. Only to fail miserably on the finale and then blame it all on the altitude and Howie. Even though everyone had to go through the same conditions as her. Then after losing proceeds to do a circuit of interviews where she badmouths Hung, blames all of her mistakes during the finale on anything but her, and then makes the ludicrous claim that Bravo had an "agenda" and "let" Hung win. Its also worth noting that her "signature" pan-asian cuisine was a huge flop, whilst her meat and potatoes was the best recieved, although that was more Howies dish than hers by her own admission. Dale stole the show that night, completely outcooked her, and much more so deserved the consolation prize of $10,000

i stopped caring before the final two shows. but i always liked Dale. and i always felt weird about casey. i dunno. i guess it's my own special brand of misogyny coming out, or the BravoEdit that was done to casey, but i always thought she was sort of a twit. the onion "chopping" debacle was not impressive. i felt like she was a cardboard cutout of a Pretty Girl Who Cooks Great! and not a real person.

dale is a real person. and i want to give him a hug! and the go eat ice cream with him and snark about all the people we see.
i can't give a higher compliment than that.

we loved our adorable widdle dale and was rooting for him till the end.

i just could never get past casey's "racheal-esue" looks since we know racheal could barely boil water.

Dale is bright, funny and clever. (And reminds me so much of one of the best friends in this life I've ever had).

I hope someone over at Bravo or the Food Network is savvy enough to grab him up. He's an excellent chef, but he's also one hell of a funny guy. His "behind the scene" comments made the season.

oxoxoxoxo Dale

I thought it was really cheap and petty of Dale to attack Hung at the beginning of the "Reunion" show. He was not at all a gracious loser.

He held on to the bitchiness for too long.

wow i just watched the reunion and all i can say is that any respect i had for Dale is now gone. Couldnt believe how much of a jerk he was in the first two minutes of the thing no less. And this is the guy who sits from on high and calls everyone out on there bad behavior. I'm a little bummed he's being as spoiled and self-important as he is.

Faux-Micah and meatloaf:

I wonder if Faux-micah ever heard of "Bobotie" a Malay-inspired South African version of meatloaf??

Maybe she should have served THIS:
