She's so cute, too bad she can't be a real chefbian. I, like the inimitable Miss XaXa, picked Steph for the win from the start. Nice gals can finish first.

I hate the idea that everyone keeps focusing on "The First Female Top Chef."

If Tre had won last season, would blogs be trumpeting him as "The First Black Top Chef"? I don't think so.

Who cares what sex the winner is. Just cook some fucking good food.

I love the way this girl cooks - earthy, homey food with a twist. She is humble yet cheerful as well. I enjoyed watching her compete and I'm psyched she won.

Congrats Stephanie.

Stephanie lives and works in Chicago. That's nice. Stephanie is off to great things. She is a team player, she is a creative chef, and she takes her knocks well. Congrats Steph, I won $5 on you.

Out of curiosity I decided to check out her restaurant's website and on the home page it says that it has closed it's doors.

There is also an email link to her: topchefsteph@hotmail.com

It must have just happened. Anyone know what's up with that?

Stephanie closed Scylla before the competition began:

I think it's adorable how "shit" always seems to escape her smiling mouth when she wins. Overall, though, I think Steph and Richard tied for their performances and comportment throughout the show, and Lisa was lucky to have even been there longer than Nimma.
