i think that's really pretentious.
How rude!
Grant Achatz and Wylie Dufresne really create thoughtful and delightful dishes and for Tom to have the gaul to call it "Silly" and "over thought" is really rude.
Shame on you Mr. Colicchio! Just because you create boring food that anyone can do at home doesn't mean all chefs should!
I have never understood piling portions of food one on top of the other or drizzling a tasty sauce all around the plate so that it looks like a mistake.
I hope these fads go away.
