A big ole thank you to the sharp-eyed possums who've sent in tips about seeing Wracked-by-Lamb Ariane Duarte on last night's episode of Iron Chef America, Bobby Flay v. Amanda Freitag. Unfortunately, what with it being the Gay Super Bowl last night, we did not watch the episode, and it does not appear to be on YouTube. Unsurprisingly, according to our tipsters, Ariane's team lost. We're just surprised Bravo let her do this.

Ariane was in charge of butchering a veal chop, and cooking the chop as well. Her dish was well received, and her team only lost by one point.
50 for Team Flay, 49 for Team Freitag.

She burned the okra. The New Jersey paper that awarded her four stars should take away at least one just for that...
She burned the okra, but excellent time management allowed team Freitag to re-cook the okra.
And yet they still lost. Pity.
Actually it was Bobby Flay's sous-chef who burned the okra.
I stand corrected. Both competitors were saddled with inept sous chefs.
I'm more curious as to how she actually got chosen to be a sous chef on the show.

They choose their own? So a concerted effort was made to seek her out as a sous chef? That astounds me even more.
