According to a source who worked on the set of Top Chef, the ex-model turned trophy wife turned hostess Padma Lakshmi allegedly enjoys smoking pot on set, giving a whole new meaning to the term “Quickfire Challenge” — see, cause she’s allegedly lighting up a joint instead of a stove! Anyway. Exactly how often this happened is disputed, though we were assured it was allegedly “fairly regularly.”We're shocked, possums, shocked. It's an appetite supressant. I mean ALL that food, the girl has to find a way to maintain her figure.
She does look stoned half the time. That would explain her wardrobe too. She must be high to dress that way. And she talks too slowly, like she's baked. No wonder none of the chefs respect her.
I have to admit this makes me like her quite a bit more even though she is an idiot.

well it certainly makes watching the reruns more interesting. on the hawaii episode she was really getting all macy grey at the judging table. i thought she was just going to nod off onto the table. (which would have been SO COOL!)
That could explain why she seemed so slow-witted during her recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel. I just thought she was incredibly stupid. Let's not be too quick to rule out either explanation; she could be very dumb and a pothead.
