Possums, we were shocked--shocked!--when we saw this report on Page Six today:
RACHAEL Ray was attacked by a dog in Union Square Park Saturday while bravely defending her pit-bull mix, Isaboo. According to the TV host's rep, "This dog came up - there was no owner in sight - and became aggressive. Rachael and some others shooed it away, but it came back and attacked Isaboo. Other dogs were involved, and Rachael jumped in and was bit by one of the dogs on the leg. A nurse was in the park and checked her out. She's fine."
We swear we had nothing to do with it. We would never have bitten her; we don't know what we might catch from her. It should come as no surprise to you, possums, that in the grand scheme of things, we are more "cat people" than "dog people," but we feel our stainless-steel hearts warming with a little doggie love after this.
And when even dogs spontaneously attack you, you know that your branding efforts have been successful. Well done, Rachael!

"Isaboo"?
That's really mean. Rachael Ray is a brilliant woman, she has shown the world how easy it is to cook. In fact, it is because of Mrs. Ray that I was inspired to start cooking, and of course I did grow to cook more refined things due to Marcel, I still have Mrs. Ray as my major inspiration. She likewise, has inspired millions of others, creating a more culinarily diverse world, that's more than any other Foodnet chef can do.
Ray is over-rated and not one ounce more talented than every other gated community soccer Mom in this Country. And she's just as obnoxious!
I did not like her that much until I watched her show where they featured Boston.
I used to live in Boston. Watching Rachel brave the streets of Revere to sample food, done with a smile and grace, gave me quite a bit of respect for her.
Besides the pollution and crime, the traffic is horrific. Bell's Circle in Revere had like 300 crashes in two years.
I thought it was great that she could put on a "hey, I'm having great fun in Miami" smile while in that section of town!
Good job, girl.
I'm disappointed, Darling. Was the too high-waisted, ill-fitting polka dot frock just too easy of a target?
Rachael Ray's meals are not quick or healthy. You're aware a cup of EVOO has nearly 2000 calories on its own, not to mention all the fatty meats, cheeses, etc she piles into most of her "recipes."
If I were someone cooking with help from her books (other than the low-carb one she put out a couple of years ago), I'd get your cholesterol checked pronto. You are probably a candidate for statins.
Yes, Anonymous 9:41, that was really mean. By reaching for the brass ring in such an annoyingly public fashion, Ms. Rachael has made herself a snark target.
I wish I had Charlus' talent for slinging witty barbs at overblown celebrities, which is why I come for my daily fix.
